Oh, heavenly Father.  I come to you with Thanksgiving in my heart, Lord.  Because no matter all else, I am blessed beyond measure and am grateful for all of the gifts you’ve bestowed on your child

Oh, heavenly Father. we come to you with Thanksgiving in our hearts, Lord. Because no matter all else, we are blessed beyond measure and are grateful for all of the gifts you’ve bestowed on your children. We are not worthy, but we are thankful that your eyes are forgiving and loving and merciful.
We are in painful, worrisome times, Lord Jesus. So much in this world is horrific and ugly and stains all the good that you have brought into our lives. It’s hard not to distract ourselves with hate and fury and the desire to lash out over injustice. It is equally hard to sit in silence, to focus our eyes on you Lord, and to accept the peace that only you can bring to our hearts. We are broken, we are flawed, we are guilty of not following the path that you would have us walk. Our frailties have hurt others. Our failure to see the pain of our brothers and sisters has increased the hurt. Let us be open to all, Father. Let us welcome your divine vision and see the good, the glorious abundant good in the world around us.
There is purpose in this broken world, Lord, but we know we might only see that purpose when we receive you into my heart. Ease our fears, so that we might walk bravely for you, Lord. Tamp the anger that threatens to consume us, so that we might share your mercy with others. Grant us wisdom, to see the path that you have made for us. Grant that our thoughts and our words will be filled with the good that you have bestowed on our lives.
We ask for healing, Lord. That the wounds and the pains within our own hearts will be mended and that your light will shine through us to others who need to feel your love. And we thank you, humbly as your servants, for hearing our prayers and granting to us all that we need to walk in your way and to do your will.

In Your name, we pray,

When Olivia Hardin started having movie-like dreams in her teens, she had no choice but to begin putting them to paper. Before long, the writing bug had bitten her, and she knew she wanted to be a published author. Several rejections plus a little bit of life later, she was temporarily “cured” of the urge to write. That is, until she met a group of talented and fabulous writers who gave her the direction and encouragement she needed to get lost in the words again. Olivia has attended three different universities over the years and toyed with majors in Computer Technology, English, History and Geology. Then one day she heard the term “road scholar,”' and she knew that was what she wanted to be. Now she “studies” anything and everything just for the joy of learning. She's also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and she’s sometimes accused of being artistic. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband, Danny, their corgi Bonnie Sue, and their new rescue Heidi Ho.
